あとひと月ばかりで Kickstarter プロジェクトに挑戦して一年が経とうとしています。
1 周年を迎えるにあたり、Bridge and Blend ではかねてから皆さんにお寄せいただいたフィードバックにお応えできるよう、Anniversary Box として製作するセット販売、及びサンプル販売を Makuake にて先行発売を開始いたしました。
このプロジェクトに挑戦することになった背景は、ローンチ時よりコロナの皺寄せが発生し、海外への発送に時間がかかる事例が増えている中、日本での取り組みにもシフトしても、というビジネスディシジョンの第一歩です。

- 6 つの香りのうち、4 つの記載のある源氏物語を模して、本に仕立てにしました。
- ページを捲るように日本のお香のストーリーを「Anniversary Box」で紐解きます。
「Anniversary Box」のデザインは、「世界中から届いた香原料が 1000 年前の日本で出会い、交わり、日本の香りとして世界へ旅立つ」をテーマに、Marc by Marc Jacobs、Miller Harris、スターバックスコーヒーなど、多くのブランドのクリエーティブを手掛けてきたイラストレーター・デザイナー mio.matsumoto 氏に依頼しました。すでにプロジェクトは動き出しており、Makuake プロジェクト期間中にはその進捗も活動レポート内でシェア、最終日には全貌がお伝えできる予定です。
Makuake プロジェクトページでは「Six in Sense」の調香でふんだんに使用している、お香の世界で最も貴重な香原料「沈香」が入手困難になった経緯もお伝えしています。

We are pleased to announce a new challenge.
One year has almost passed since our global launch. To celebrate our 1st anniversary, Bridge and Blend has launched the Anniversary Box, a set of 6 incense, and samples for a limited time on Makuake, crowdfunding in Japan, in order to respond to your feedback.
Our decision to take on this project is the first step in the business shift in our effort to Japan as we have seen an increasing number of cases of a significant delay in shipping to certain international locations due to COVID-19.

Anniversary Box
The design of the Anniversary Box is based on the theme of "incense ingredients from all over the world meeting in Japan 1000 years ago, blending each other, and traveling to the world as SCENT of JAPAN". We commissioned mio.matsumoto, an illustrator and designer who has worked on creative projects such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miller Harris, Starbucks. The project is already underway, and we will share its progress in the activity report during the Makuake project period, and will be able to provide a full report on the final day of the project.
The Makuake project page also explains how agarwood, the most precious incense ingredient in the world of incense, which is used abundantly in the "Six in Sense," became difficult to obtain.
